Founded by Bishop Arnold and Pastor Judy H. Williams in 1991, Columbia Hope In Christ Ministries, Inc (HIM). has served the Columbia area by providing financial help and assistance with elderly prescriptions, rental, mortgage, and gas and travel expenses. . The Williams' began serving breakfast at their local church and the breakfast program consistently fed between 20-45 children. Out of this program, the Educational Enrichment Program was created which consisted of after-school tutoring and a John P. Thomas in-school tutorial program. A computer lab was also implemented to aid those that lacked basic reading and math comprehension skills. Numerous lives have been positively impacted through the actions of the founders. The Williams' embody the HIM Mission Statement: Reaching communities with the Gospel of Christ through Compassionate Ministry.
