J.C. Greenlee Memorial Fund
James was born August 23, 1965 on Fort Jackson Army Base, in Columba, SC to Juliette Davis Greenlee and late James C. Greenlee, Jr. He departed this life April 23, 2016. Mr. Greenlee was a 1983 honor graduate of Eau Claire High School. He also attended Rice University in Houston, TX and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Greenlee was a state employee for twenty-three years, celebrating twenty years in the USC library system in April 2016.
J.C. Greenlee Memorial Fund - is administered through Columbia Hope In Christ Ministries, Inc. (HIM), a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1991, to reach communities with the gospel of Christ through compassionate ministry. HIM has served the greater Columbia area through programs that provide financial assistance for housing, food, transportation and medical care to individuals and families. Columbia Hope In Christ Ministries continues to provide educational enrichment for youth K-12, food/clothing assistance and vocational training opportunities to anyone in need. Just recently, the ministry received notification from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the pending recognition status of the National Diabetes Prevention Program sessions to be held at the church beginning at the end of May. Columbia Hands of Hope Nurse Aide Program consists of 100 hours over six weeks, of comprehensive nursing assistant training to include basic nursing concepts, with training in the classroom, lab and clinical settings in local long-term care facilities.
